Description
Outl4w - Outl4w
2007 was a remarkable year for Outl4w. They have managed to spin fans, the media and music industry into a frenzied mosh by consistently self-releasing EP’s as quickly as they write them. This constant flow of creativity has been keeping the fans, the media and the band constantly on their toes.
“We love the flexibility of having a DIY label. We are still young, discovering new music and developing our own sound, so this way we get new music straight out to our fans and move on to new material ”
Outl4w hand painted every cover of their first 7” single which they released on their own record label Inl4w Wreckords and was chosen as NME Vinyl Of The Week. Their first two EP’s ‘Blame The Nation’ and ‘I Can’t Relate’, received massive acclaim from press, radio and TV with Maida Vale Live sessions for both Steve Lamacq and Colin Murray on BBC Radio One, Twice ‘Hottest Record In The World’ on Zane Lowe’s show, an XFM rock show session and further radio support across Radio 1, XFM, 6Music and Kerrang!, new bands features across the press including early dedication from the NME, Kerrang!, Big Cheese, Rock Sound, Metal Hammer, The Fly, and Sunday Times’ Hottest Download, with Kerrang! TV specially programming a video of Outl4w’s live performance. Outl4w were also voted ‘best new band’ by Distorted Magazine’s readers’ poll.
Outl4w have launched headlong into 2008 playing the NME awards tour with Enter Shikari at London Astoria, touring the UK and releasing their new single ‘Nothing Else To Say’ March 24th followed by their eagerly awaited self titled debut album on April 14th.
Still one of the youngest bands around but with so much experience and achievement under their belts they are an intimidating young DIY wake up call to a floundering archaic music industry. Outl4w are a hardcore example of how much can be achieved at such a young age with independent spirit and pure dedication to their cause.
The three brothers Bobby, Will and Jack Bentham and their mate Stuart Newburn formed the band four years ago and have been on a mad journey ever since. They’ve played over 300 shows around the world. Now in their mid-teens the boys are a much more brutal and passionate band and despite the attention they’ve received they remain totally grounded. They’ve spent their time learning the ropes, now is their time to climb to the top.
